My party line is that the Canadian working class needs to develop anti-american consciousness before it's possible for it to develop international solidarity consciousness.

yep. but it's all the same thing, and Canadians are basically Americans to the degree that we won't develop any kind of class-consciousness or international solidarity a minute faster than Americans themselves do.
