I’m running the binhex Mullvad container but now they Mullvad is removing port forwarding I have 2 questions.

  • Is there a setting that can fix this issue in the container?

  • If not, I assume I would need to do a new container using a different VPN?

sorry, nope this is controlled from the vpn provider.

you would need to find a new vpn provider that permits port forwarding and reconfigure your container

If I moved to protonVPN, what all is involved in reconfiguring? I assume it’s more complicated than just changing my VPN credentials to a different provider.

Also, I assume port forwarding is required for the container (deluge one) to work?

Also, thank you so much for the work you do. I’m disabled and have to use eye gaze technology - having a reliable container for deluge has been a god send for me.

There is some current challenges with ProtonVPN, see here:- https://forums.unraid.net/topic/75539-support-binhex-qbittorrentvpn/?do=findComment&comment=1278114

Required?, no, recommended, yes, if you dont have a working incoming port then your dl/ul speeds will be slower.

Good luck my friend, being disabled is not easy, I have first hand experience of that, so i'm glad i'm doing my tiny part to make your life easier.

If you want an easy life, then my advise is signup to PIA, i have good support for PIA and port forwarding is all managed for you, but the choice of provider is completely yours, some people don't trust PIA and that is their prerogative.
