Because it's alpha and the characters are clearly placeholders. It looks decent otherwise.

People said the same thing for Redfall. I don't think a studio would show gameplay unless they think it represents the game. They didn't give a release date but I also doubt it's 2-3 years away, studios usually show gameplay when the game is approaching release.
