I've been avoiding plastic in the microwave for years, after reading something similar in the late 00s. Glass containers only.
With glass lids?
Am I supposed to be microwaving things with the lid on?
The best design for microwaving is containers with a lid which has a little opening to let the steam out. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a lid that doesn't use plastic to some degree.
I really dislike food stuck to the sides and roof of the microwave, maybe I should try covering it with a plate.
I just put a glass plate over the glass container in the microwave, which I often then use to eat the food I'm microwaving.
Yeah, if I ever use a lid on something in the microwave, it's glass too.
I mostly avoid plastics in the microwave. Completely avoid it for my kids. I'm pretty sure I'm already fucked, so I'm a bit lax for me.
