Gonna have to switch to Approval Voting and proportional representation (also using Approval Voting) if you want to get rid of the two party system.
Not sure about approval voting - I'm familiar with preferential, but nuance aside, I broadly agree with you.
Yeah pretty much anything is better than first-past-the-post.
