The film stars Tan as Cole Young, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Mehcad Brooks as Jackson ‘Jax’ Briggs, Tadanobu Asano as Raiden, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han/Noob Saibot, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion, Josh Lawson as Kano, Max Huang as Kung Lao, Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, Tati Gabrielle as Jade, Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, Ford as Shao Kahn, Desmond Chiam as King Jerrod, Ana Thu Nguyen as Queen Sindel, Damon Herriman as Quan Chi, and CJ. Bloomfield as Baraka.

Didn't a lot of those returning cast members die in the first one? Are we getting a zombie Kung Lao and Kano?

Maybe a retcon or multiverse thing like the recent game? Or flashbacks, who knows with games-based movies.

But I think you missed the most important part of that entire list where is said Karl Urban as Johnny Fucking Cage

I think he can pull it off, he had a fairly neutral accent in LoTR and the Riddick movie, and he’s definitely got the cockiness
