How do you run this on Linux? I have Lutris and tried running it as an installed game, set the executable to Palworld.exe, and when I press play it does nothing for a second then it seems like it crashes? Never opens a window. Haven't set up any games from the high seas since I switched to Linux :/
dual boot windows if you want stuff to work would be my advice.
Yeah, fair, but I think it can't really be super hard for it to work, no? I looked at what you need to do to get Fitgirl repacks to work with Lutris and it seemed straightforward, but with these clean steam files and whatnot I have no idea...
Maybe an answer exists. If so, hope you find it.
if you grab the logs, we might be able to help. it's hard to know what's going wrong without them.
I started over and got a bit farther with another download link, got it to actually launch and it asked for vcr so I followed the basic steps (winetricks, set up the prefix, selected 2019 vcr, etc). I failed to download VCR though, the checksum failed which it suggests is due to patches. I'm not sure how to actually get Winetricks to use the right source for VCR
you should be able to update the checksum in the package definition, if you don't want to wait for an update to it
