Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

What are some good PDF editors for Linux tablets? (sh.itjust.works)

I'm specifically looking for something that can both add text and works well with a stylus + tablet (specifically a surface pro). The best I've been able to find is Okular, but it's been very finicky for me, especially while editing text. Is there anything better, or does what I'm looking for just not exist yet?

Well, I'm putting it on a Microsoft Surface Pro (which really is just a tablet with an optional well-integrated attachable keyboard, and I'm only really going to be using it as a tablet). Due to it being a Microsoft device, it doesnt completely work out of the box with Linux, but there are a few projects out there to help it do so (like this).
