The internal monologue at that point is Panic. Definitely not useful thoughts.

I think my internal monologue never really stops. It's what probably gets in the way of the conversation. There's like a channel two of internal speech that takes over and gets broadcasted to my brain's main screen, and the connection to outside speech just gets cut. If I ever find the mischievous gnome who controls my brain, I swear ...
