Not the OP but the "crisis" language is a bit alarmist for me. Porn addiction is one expression of an entire category of psychological addictions (that is, addictions that don't have a chemical basis), and the way to combat it at a societal level is basically the same as combatting the rest of them - free therapy and counseling for all effected, improve people's material conditions so that they have more resistance to addictive behaviors, destigmatize it so that people can talk about it more frankly and openly.
So its not about porn its the fact the person has an addictive personality? My issue with all this talk is trying to figure out who is anti-sex-worker and who is not.
Not an addictive personality either, no, though neurotypes and stuff can play into susceptibility. It’s more that we live in such an absurdly horrendous kind of hellworld that people reflexively turn to shit to numb the pain, and porn is one of those things. At least, that’s what I’ve gotten from what people have said
