It seemed... inorganic. And I'm not sure what the gold trim is on those posts. Other posts didn't have them.

Yeah it's normal. Reddit is a full on nazi bar with frequent fashbaiting. Sometimes i'll check on my inbox to see if I got any notifications and it's always some random assblasted fascist responding absolutely unhinged shit to a post I made a long ass time ago. I stopped getting them because i've been off for long enough that my posts are starting to become archived, so I don't even bother to check anymore.
What's fashbaiting?
Posts designed specifically to get fascists aroused. Stuff like the roof koreans, "justice served" shit, and any form of racebaiting.
