Oookay, long press on the username (center tab).

Not very discoverable but now that I know where it is…

This has become a kind of common practice in mastodon apps, in particular, and was mentioned in the release notes. It may seem awkward at first, but it becomes super convenient 🙂

People with multiple Mastodon apps should find it intuitive then!

I think that's a bad design. That important feature should be easily discoverable.

When I didn’t even find anything for it on the account management screen, I felt really stuck.

My suggestion would be to add a control there. Everyone will inevitably find that.

The existing control, long press on the tab bar, can remain. It’s a good shortcut, and as long as it is just a shortcut and not the ONLY way, it’s okay for it to be less discoverable.

One of the new feature in iOS 17 is that you can add in app tip and tricks bubbles. Maybe that is something the developer can add.

Oh that would make our lives so much easier

I remember it during WWDC. You can use it to highlight new app features or sorta like a tutorial for when it’s first downloaded. Pointing out key app features.

That would be great assuming we can do it in react native. Not sure how that will work.

Great feature. Thanks for adding it
