I agree. There is a power dynamic at work, but it manifests in different expressions. Some to extract wealth and some to gain compliance, but at it's core human nature and greed and desire for control are fairly base and predictable. The incentives are all there for most of us. Just don't expect compassion or morality from socoiopaths and psychopaths.
