Things I noticed when visiting Colorado Springs that stood out to me because I had never seen them before.

Home Depot: items over 300$ locked to the shelves, and with security alarm devices attached to them. String trimmers, push mowers, leaf blowers. Large items that couldn’t easily be walked out without notice.

Parking Lots: mobile towers temporarily erected with what appeared to be surveillance cameras and blue flashing lights.

Is everything ok over there? Are you short on Police? Is there a rash of crime happening?

The cameras are due to theft of contractor vehicles. Almost every construction site has them too. I saw the same thing in other parts of the west so it is a common security item.

Colorado Springs is fine... I've seen far stranger things in larger cities like putting security tags on jugs of laundry detergent or locking up everything over $50 value behind the counter.
