The first LAN I ever went to was around 2009. BFG graphics card were still a thing and I think the 780 was king. I had purchased maybe Battlefield 2 to play there. One if the vendors had a suit that did this for their game back then. This is the first time if seen anything like it since then. I'm thinking that most people don't want to spend money on something like this based on my experiences.

Inclined to agree. It seems more like a gimmick than quality of life. Only a select portion of the market would spend any money at all for the privilege of feeling someone punch and stab them, and unlike rooftop sword fights and time powers, it's available for free without looking like a dweeb.
