Photographer Annie Wang has spent the past two decades using art as a weapon to fight motherhood stereotypes in her native Taiwan. Every few years, Wang takes a black and white photograph documenting the passing of time as her son grows up.

"I worry my son will feel uncomfortable, so we discuss every picture together," says Wang. "Every story is from our daily lives."

In each photo, Wang's previous portrait can be seen on the wall behind. The different layers are superimposed, creating a mise en abyme of time passing by.
