Someone probably spoofed your caller ID and was harassing them. Whoever answers the phones there was probably pretty frustrated and didn't realize this and thought they were calling back the scammer.
It happens more frequently than you'd think
I actually had to change my phone number due to something similar. The last 7 digits of my phone number was the first 7 digits of the spammer's area code + number. So when people called back the missed number from a landline (for those that don't remember, the local area code was implied when using a landline phone), it would call me. Eg:
It's happened to me a few times, usually they would stop after a week or two. It hasn't really been an issue since I got a spam blocker now though
