What did you do well this week that made you smile.

This thread is for the little wins that didn't get their own post.

Let's all pat each other on the back.

After starting [email protected] I have started hunting out my old books which are, presumably, in a box in the garage awaiting unpacking after last year's move. I have found the maps I made for some of the Fighting Fantasy books as well as my attempts to write my own, which made me smile - it was a doomed effort doing it in notebooks as opposed ti some kind of card system (or however it was done back in the day) but I gave it my best shot and persisted far longer than was sensible. I also found maps I created, I think of the setting, and I did them as contour maps for reasons that elude me other than I like a good contour map. I am looking forward to perusing this all and trying to figure out what my young self was thinking.

Ah that's so cool! Do you think there's usable stuff in there?

Oh crumbs no, I was 11 or 12. It's the naive enthusiasm that tickles me. I'd probably done a couple of Fighting Fantasy gamebooks at the point and just thought I should crack on and make my own. With today's technology I'd probably have made decent headway but it still wouldn't have been objectively good but that's not the important thing.
