Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!

Anyone can make the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!

Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.

So how’s it going?

Yeah someone I know had their 9 month old in ICU with RSV recently. I've had vomiting, fevers, and cold symptoms across my kids this week.

There's a flu study in the Wellington region that publishes the types of illness they have found. The one on the website here is a week out of date but shows what's in the air around Wellington: Graph of flu, covid, cold like illnesses in Wellington https://www.wellkiwis.co.nz/news-and-findings/

Oh, what a worry to have a little one in ICU, hope yours are getting better. Interesting data, don’t think anywhere has avoided it.

The one in ICU is out now, I saw them a couple of days ago and they were pretty happy looking. I don't think it was ever at a concerning level, the ICU was just for 24/7 monitoring.
