I started watching DS9 for the first time couple of months ago. It is very good but visuals are quite dated (just finished season 1).

DS9 camera people had a real hardon for Vaseline.

Once you put it in the camera lens it's really hard to get off, and with their production schedule it's easier to just leave it on for the whole show.
