  • Brush: Grizzly Bay Shire 26mm V18 Fanchurian

  • Razor: River Razor 14 8/8" Full Hollow (Straight Shave 375)

  • Lather: PannaCrema - Nuàvia Verde - Soap

  • Post Shave: Spearhead Shaving Company - Seaforth! Heather - Aftershave

  • Post Shave: Thayers - Lavender - Toner

This was one of those mornings when, at the end of the shave, my reaction was "Woah!". I absolutely love the freshness and greenness of Nuàvia Verde. I could easily use this for Austere August or for seventy days, as I did with SV 70th Anniversary.

And the River Razor is really excellent. I have had several conversations with Boris, and he is quite passionate about hollow grinding, choice of steel, and steel tempering. This comes through in the way his razor shaves. Todays shave felt feather light and ultra comfortable, yet it was a very close 2-pass shave. If you are considering a custom, hollow ground, carbon steel straight razor, that is focused on performance rather than a lot of ornamentation, I suggest that you consider River Razors.
