As much as I hope that's the case, it's still way too early to tell.
The upgrades they've brought have made a huge difference, that much is apparent, but they need to keep developing and not rest on their laurels. Aston were in the same spot at the start of the season and they've started to fall behind so it could very easily happen to McLaren too.
Still, they started the season in an absolute shitbox so I'm loving this recent form. Lando needs his first win!
That's probably the best turnaround I have seen mid season. God, I hope it's true lol.
Teams will stop their major upgrades for this season soon though. It gets to a point where its just fine tuning and minor upgraded parts that change where you are relative to other teams. If they really are in the mix then they shouldn't fall away as the Aston seems to have.
