Well, that's pretty dumb in the first place, but then makes even less sense as this is criticizing actions of Republicans.
Not just Republicans.
So… 214 republicans and 12 democrats.
That shows Democrats aren't against it on principle, I think.
Fucking laughable take
Oh really? If the record showed 0 votes from Dems, I'd agree.
You are letting perfect be the enemy of progress
How, exactly?
The votes clearly show that one party in general supported the measure, and one party in general did not. You want 0 votes, and that's basically never gonna happen in politics.
No, the votes do not show that. The votes show that members of one party voted for the measure in more numbers than the other. The votes also show that both parties voted for it.
A party agreeing on a matter cannot happen? Maybe you can't see that happen if you have little knowledge of how ideologies actually work, but this to me only showcases how similar the parties actually are. If their fundamental axioms were different from Republicans, there would be no chance of them agreeing on a single thing. The simple fact is, they're not actually that different.
Why are you talking like political parties have to vote in unison and that one person from a party showcases the beliefs of every single other person in that party?
Am I? Or am I saying that a party should have a unifying philosophy distinct from other parties?
I think they objected to to the IRS spending cuts more than the military aid part.
