I’ve literally never played a subscription based game and I don’t intend on changing that. At this rate all I really stand to miss out on is more carbon copy battle royales, so no love lost.
Yeah, we don't need something that just infinitely milk money, plenty of those in real life already.
If some dev comes up with a self hosted dedicated server stuff like Minecraft and are also fun and easy to mod, they are going to make banks(not at scale of those GaaS) and they would probably last longer than all other fortnite wannabe.
Or, simply just make good games.
The article is referring to subscription services like Game Pass, rather than games built using a live service model.
yeah I just kinda ranted about some stuff I don’t like lol
