Articles and analysis most people would find odd and contrary to their understanding, however i strongly advise to give them a chance, before condemning them.

Well, that is because it is literally true.
War is bad, m'kay, but the inherent problem with being an unbending peacenik with no perspective is that this allows others to just gain what they want through violence, regardless of your personal morals or opinion on the matter. So war is bad, but allowing aggressors and bad actors to steal and murder and oppress unchecked is worse.
I was going to put a lengthy explanation here including details of the timelines making no sense according to the writer's special version of non-reality (i.e. the Crimean War already having happened in 2014, well before the US's alleged "diplomatic failures" in 2021), but anyone as batshit as the writer of this column is not going to be swayed by actual facts. Anyone genuinely interested and with access to half a brain or more can easily look up the demonstrably false claims made by Putin regarding Ukraine, his allegations that Ukraine has "no right to exist," and other nutcase behavior on his part prior to and during the 2022 invasion. It's well documented and not hard to find.
thanks for taking the time to respond. Also, apologies for the late response, I do not check up often the comments on my posts.
so yeah I totally agree that Putin is really and literally a fierce authoritarian and a murder. nor that he and Russian elites view Ukraine as a pure subjugated satellite state totally under itheir control, in essence as you say a non entity, that should not exist independent of Russia. typical imperialist stance.
while all this is true, it is also true that the US has similar national and imperialist interests in Ukraine and a clear interest in provoking an indirect confrontation with Moscow in order to weaken or even manage a regime change.
so, what is at stake here, is the meaning of the word hypocrisy, for the US and all those that see the role of the US as a natural order of things.
so say that the US does indeed care for evil leaders then could you not find a handful of criminals which the US supports wholeheartedly?
your thoughts?
