I think that it's because there are a lot fewer people on Lemmy than there are on Reddit, therefore a lot of content that would normally go to different subreddits is instead being aggregated on the larger communities on Lemmy.
Nah this is exactly the kind of post that would get posted on the subreddit and regularly hit the front page
