it came to mind while i was watching the news last night with the conflict going on, just made me think of the 'uprising' scene in Bexhill (which was obviously written as a direct comparison to the gaza situation anyway).
Love the movie, my all time favourite
That’s cos D9 was about apartheid so you saw a modern apartheid state and saw a correlation.
Neil Blomkamp is South African. D9 was about the group areas act that removed people from their homes into townships all over South Africa.
Kinda funny that my memory of it is that rips were available before the movie hit theatres here.
