This is a RCA remote I bought from Walmart. It seems to require a proprietary app. Has anyone had any luck with this device or similar devices?

Edit: it doesn't work with Bluetooth so no

You said it doesn't work on Bluetooth but is show Bluetooth support multiple places on the packaging. I assume the app is ment to set up the remote not to run the remote.

Blutooth is just for configuration. You can't actually control anything with it
