This is a RCA remote I bought from Walmart. It seems to require a proprietary app. Has anyone had any luck with this device or similar devices?

Edit: it doesn't work with Bluetooth so no

The app is for your phone, it's probably just to share the wifi password to get it on network.

If you already have the remote, just try the app.
