I heard the Reddit is Fun dev is planning on either joining a project or doing a new one for Lemmy. I heard it here somewhere so I don’t know much other than that

I'm on Jerboa right now and not unhappy with it, but if the rif developer gets involved in something else I'd definitely check it out. I used rif for many years.

Jerboa is nice, but clearly a work in progress. RiF has been matured for years now.

It's not. It's more reddit adjacent than replacement. Lemmy seems closer to a replacement. I'm using both now.
