Alternatively, if your current phone doesn't have a headphone jack, do you wish it did?

I like wired headphones but I have never really had any huge problems with wireless in this day and age.

And Bluetooth is not proprietary.

It is. You need to be a part of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group to qualify.

A company decides whether or not to issue you a license.
"Adopter" membership is free, and the SIG is a not-for-profit corporation, but you very much need to play by their rules, and their rules are influenced by some huge corporations, which are very much for profit.
