My tiny mind found this hard to take in at the time. But hey, it's a pretty good tune and it's always good to broaden your perceptions.

I fucking love the birthday party.

Thanks for this take, though. Minogue was never really on my radar, even after being featured on this excellent album. Interesting to hear, because I love Nick Cave. Although, admittedly, I haven’t really gotten into anything he’s put out since Abattoir Blues / Lyre of Orpheus. And even a few of the albums between from her to eternity (my favorite NC&TBS album, followed closely by The Firstborn is Dead) and Lyre are hit or miss for me. But the birthday party didn’t really miss. Although they took way fewer swings. And I like both grinderman albums. But the bad seeds stuff really ebbed and flowed in quality, especially later on.
