I've blocked lemmygrad on connect, but their posts still show up on this community.

That's fine for communities, but Lemmy doesn't actually let a user block an instance. Some let you hide instances, but that's still not helpful to desktop/browser users

Some people also use Lemmy on a PC. Also blocking instances in Apps just hides posts from there, but doesn't stop the comments.
