What mid-priced device should I snag next? (lemmy.world)

As I'm sure many of you can imagine, I have a lot of devices in my collection (working and not working, as I sometimes need to test-fit prototypes of custom parts or mods). Heck, a few of my collection have long since been discontinued by this point (Indica vaporizer, Pax1, Grasshopper, VapeXhale Cloud+, Mistvape, etc)

Anyway, I'm looking to grab another portable. But I can't keep up with all the new devices. I'm looking more at the popular budget to mid-priced devices. Thinking about grabbing an Xlux Roffu, although I'm open to suggestions.

Yes, I know S&B is working on releasing a new portable vaporizer in the near future but I'm not waiting for that to drop. (I already have both a crafty and a mighty in my collection lol).

Ah yep that's the one! I haven't looked at the name of that thing since I got it lol

I love both of them, but the potv one is my daily driver for now.

There's a new potv vape coming out, from the sneak peak I saw of it, it looks like it's gonna have more battery capacity which would be really nice.

I've had the airizer loaded up though to switch over for exactly what you said. I've missed that thing, it gives a lot more flavor but it's easy to over do it for me with the bigger dry herb capacity lol

The pass through charging was the reason I accepted the crappie charger, but I usually vape outside and I don't want to be tethered to the house. But when the battery does eventually fail I'll make do because of it.

Be sure to force yourself to switch back to the Solo2 every so often, it's still a hell of a nice vape even these days. If you haven't already, be sure to snag a waterpipe adapter stem for the Solo2 - that vape really shines when you vaporbong with it.

Pro tip - you can "Microdose" with an arizer stem. Get a screen (I think a 1/2 inch diameter) and bend it into a "bowl" shape. Then carefully install the domed screen into the stem such that the pointy end sticks out and fills most of the oven space. This will force any loaded herb to the outside walls, but greatly reduce load sizes.

Another pro tip - be sure to start at a very low temp like 300F. The glass stems act a heatsink soaking heat away from the oven initially. Running the oven at a low temp to start allows it to heat up faster later for a more uniform extraction and better performance overall.
