I currently use an OnePlus 9 Pro and want to switch to LineageOS.

I dont use banking apps and don't use Netflix or whatever.

The only thing holding me back is android auto. I searched various forums and posts and got a bunch of mixed results.

Can someone give me the current status on android auto with lineageos? Does it work, if yes, is it easy to install and use?

I read on the OpenStreetMap community this week that one of the apps is working on Android Auto support. I think it was Organic Maps.

It sounded like it was quite a new development, so it might be a while away, but it might be worth looking into :)

Yeah but that means that organic maps can be used via android auto, not that the app itself could initialize its own android auto instance on my car

Ah, sorry, I thought it meant that it could link to the car. My bad 🙈
