I've long considered this show but never really endeavored to watch it. Can anyone sell me on it?

One of the best British comedies ever IMO.
Absolutely mandatory for any comedy fan.
I place it a close second to ~~Farty Flowers~~ Fawlty Towers.

More seriously, it is, but it helps too if you are in some form of IT or IT/Support adjacent field. The humor is also somewhat classically British, so depends on if that works for you or not.
Very much worth it if you've ever worked in IT
The IT Crowd is well written and absurdly funny. You don't have to have a technological background to appreciate the show, but if you do, it is essential to watch this show.
The episodes aren't long so I'd recommend giving it a go for an episode or two. It's a show I can re-watch anytime.
It’s got short seasons and there’s only 4. Also ~20 min episodes.
I know because I’ve watched it all, I don’t get the hype but at least it was short and now I can kind of get the show references, although this one I don’t remember.
