All the time. That's why I'm going from a cheap Amazon chair to a Steelcase.

All of the Steelcase chairs at my employer have survived some serious rough handling for multiple years. +1

That’s good to hear, what do they cost on average? Wondering if you have a specific recommendation.

I paid 1600 for mine. Where i would constantly shift in other chairs... i can sit for extended hours in my chair and not feel like i hate life after.

I also have a sit/ stand desk. So when we get to hour 4 or 5 i can just stand up for an hour then sit again and I'm good.

Good to hear. I got a remanufactured one with a 12 year warranty so I'm guessing I'll have it for a while.

That might be an idea, what’s neighborhood of the chair?

Well new steelcase chairs start at $6-800 and the good ones are like $1400. Which is pretty nutty. But you can find refurbished models from $3-600 through Crandall or BTOD. You can also find deals locally for even lower but YMMV. Locally I can find a leap v1 for $150 but it's from the 90s and pretty used up. I bought a remanufactured Crandall for $500 the foam, fabric, and casters are all new and upgraded.

They help but I still get tailbone and lower back pain. I’ve found a foam roller also helps a ton.

Yeah. All the ergo communities say stretching > chair/desk > keeb > mouse. I really should stretch more :P
