I think it's absurd she isn't coming here, honestly. We have so many football stadiums she could perform in. I do think it's because of how strict the COVID restrictions here were when she was booking US dates, though.
That's actually probably a pretty good reason why it didn't happen, rumors started spring of last year that she was starting to book venues and that was still pretty in it with covid. I wonder if with a direct invite from Trudeau they'll add a few.
With so many Canadians coming to our show in Seattle in a couple weeks, do I get to try to go to Vancouver if she goes there?
I would. I live near Calgary, so if I was lucky I'd get to try for an Edmonton show, but realistically I'd probably end up having to fly to Vancouver or Toronto to see her here. But yeah, try for whatever show you want! The people who gatekeep geographical regions are kind of insane imo. Anyone can go wherever they want.
Agreed. I was annoyed that Portland and Vancouver didn't get shows, it made the Seattle shows that much harder to get tickets for, but I don't blame people for wanting to make the trip up/down here to see her. More annoyed that those shows didn't exist in the first place.
Same with people coming from Europe to the US for shows, she didn't announce her world tour until a month ago, what were they supposed to do? I'm surprised she didn't announce all of the cities up front, it would have made it much less crazy.
I would have loved a Portland date but I genuinely cannot think of a venue big enough. I don’t think she’s played MODA since 1989
You guys don't have any bigger stadiums? I guess no NFL team but still...
No, I think the biggest stadium maxes out at like 20k people. We get passed over all the time
That's too bad, it would help both cities out if she could go there too. Less strain on Seattle and easier for Portland. You coming up here to Seattle in a couple weeks for eras?
I am!!! I’ll be there night 1. I’m hoping our surprise songs are from Rep but I think we’ll probably still be in speak now promo
So will I! I'm going to write up some stuff for the mega thread but feel free to ask me any questions you may have, getting there, what to do if you don't have ideas already!
