"It's going to be either you live for another day, or you get stabbed on TTC, or you get a car, and it's not really that easy. It makes me feel like TTC is actually not really that safe anymore and they're not doing anything about it."

Nobody tell this person about how cars are significantly more dangerous than the TTC...

Even if you're a pedestrian or a cyclist, your biggest risk during a commute is getting hit by someone else's car. The TTC is statistically the safest way to commute.

I'm a big anti-car person (I'm middle aged and gave never owned one) and that made me roll my eyes. Someone should tell them about that, actually. And that the media doesn't report on that is ridiculous (though I suppose it's not the point of this particular story).
