They are both old very old cars, i wouldn't recommend them as a reliable first car unless you don't mind tinkering and maintaining it yourself, or spending some coins to have a trusted mechanic to look after it. things will need replacing, and finding one in good condition will be difficutl.

But between the two, if i had to pick i would personally go with the CRV. Perhaps a B18 swap could spice things up :) In the video, the driver is running completely stock suspension and gearbox. even the B18 engine is running on stock internals. If this doesn't showcase how well engineered the car is, idk what can.
