This is not the Russian government being paranoid of NATO, this is the Russian government trying to remind us population that the decadent west, where people have fun, is evil and they shouldn't want to be like the west. Don't enjoy life, be a good little slave for Putin.

It's all smoke and mirrors just to add another seed of "hate the west" so that Putin and his oligarch friends can stay in power. Wouldn't want people to get wrong ideas like actual democracy where people could make decisions that are good for them, now would we.
