Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

nah, don't film strangers in public
I'm not the person you replied to, but:
If they're on my property - which they are of their dog is taking a shit on my lawn - they're not "in public."
My yard is not public.
Do you have a fence or trespassing signs?
I have a sidewalk that clearly delineates my yard and the sidewalk. Also, I have to maintain the sidewalk, so I'll record that all I want to. Don't want the possibility of being recorded on someone's security camera? Don't walk in front of people's houses. Welcome to 2024.
Laws in the US are weird
There's no law backing up what they're saying, it's just considered common courtesy to pick up your dog's poop if it poops in someone else's yard.
nah in the EU it's illegal to film sidewalks
That appears to be a gray area depending where in the EU. If there is signage, the sidewalk is not the primary focus of the video, and the video is not shared, it sounds like it is in legal in a lot of places. Other appear to be more strict. Doorbell cameras appear to widely accepted, for example.
Likely, if I were to ever get around to getting a camera, I'd set motion zones on my property line and record when triggered.
