Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

the insurrection never happened

You mean a poorly managed protest turned riot? This is a prime example of why people hate the news. Cities across the US were vandalized by "fiery but peaceful" Black Lives Matter protests but when a bunch of loons show up at the capital with flags and digital cameras for an afternoon it's somehow a legitimate attempt to overthrow the most powerful government in the world. There were no fire fights there was no violence en masse. It was a bunch of useful idiots being useful idiots. All that being said he should have managed it better. HOWEVER there was never any shadow of a doubt that power would transition to the next President at any point. Anyone thinking a dude in a viking helmet was going to prevent Joe Biden from becoming President is an idiot.

Read about the Nazis. Learn about the mafia and how they operate.

Lmao. You are off your rocker. Why don't you turn off your computer and touch grass instead of being a terminally online pearl clutcher? I know politics is corrupt. It's been corrupt since it's inception. Surprise the democrats are corrupt too. Look at everyone's stock portfolios and the fact that they stay in government forever despite never having a real job.

While there are always dirty tricksters, what's happening now is generational shift of power. Trump is a boomer but most of his backers are Silicon Valley Gen Xers and they want to change the political landscape. That means geriatric boomer policies and government bloat are going out the door in favor of more libertarian leaning policies. I'm not totally onboard with that approach but at least someone has an idea and they want to try it.

What we’re watching isn’t hysteria. It’s so obvious to anyone paying attention.

I'm paying attention, actually live in the United States, I disagree and so does the majority of America. Continue with your "sky is falling narrative" no one is listening to you anymore. It's tiresome and you're wrong.

Okay

That’s why everything is concepts of a plan, except the things that dictators generally do.

What does this even mean? Catch your breath man you sound like you're hyperventilating.

It might shock you, but dictators and Nazis built up their power over years.

No way. You mean they didn't just press the Nazi button?! Yeah investment over time is a prerequisite for ANY POLITICAL MOVEMENT. Trump was a joke in 2015 and now he has changed the political landscape by discrediting the establishment and bringing in outsiders. You may not like that. You may disagree with them but none of that is consequential. There is definitely a cult of personality but this go round it seems he actually has an administration that represents continuity beyond his next term.

They do things like encourage violence against their opponents and make jokes when they get attacked

The left does this all the time. Antifa, BLM, COVID gestapo etc etc. The left calls people they disagree with racists, fascists, nazis and thugs precisely so they can dehumanize them and justify writing them off completely. Guess what? Not only is that hypocritical it's a failing strategy.

he’s definitely going to be happy to transfer power

Bookmarking so I can laugh at you when he does.

You also failed to tell me how he's targeting gay people or who the corrupt judges are. Presumably because there's no there there.

Dude

That is literally the most clueless reply ever. I'm laughing here

The don is literally sitting there with boxes of classified documents whilst Eileen cannon is dismissing the case. The whole thing mainly came to light because an Aussie billionaire warned the government that he was disclosing top secret info for his own benefit

Even more the fact you told me to touch grass. I operate a hiking group dumbass.

Murdoch media loves idiots. And it's clear they found one. Sounds like Trump could literally threaten your family and you'd pretend like he was just joking

Still didn't address any of my questions. No there there. You are bed wetting over nothing.

clueless reply

I understand it's difficult to experience someone with a different opinion

Aileen Cannon operates within the confines of the law for a politically motivated prosecution

SHE'S CORRUPT!

Murdoch media

I don't have cable.

hiking group

Only cool thing you've said

hurdur you're dumb

I don't care.
