For the sake of my mental health I'm currently trying to gaslight myself into thinking that Trump being president isn't bad. But the truth is there is no realistic way the country is coming back from this. Not in my lifetime at least.
The only hope is that he's so far gone mentally already that he ends up mostly doddering around the oval office. The problem is he's already surrounded himself with the most vile people who will have no problem doing terrible things in his name.
Maybe he'll die and JD Vance will magically regain a conscience.
That's a feature for these people not a bug, he'll be a hollow shell for his cabinet to pass what they want to pass
God the only hope is that JD doesn't become president, in name or practice.
At least JD is an unknown quantity with some oddly left leaning positions in his past. We know what we're getting with Trump and it's terrible.
JD doesn't have a spine. Due to childhood trauma, he adapted to whatever POS stepdad needed him to be, and still exhibits similar qualities as an adult. Not a good leadership quality in stressful situations, lol.
JD is a libertarian weirdo.
Yes, but he's also claimed support for industry-level collective bargaining like Europe has. He's probably lying, but who knows.
