If I were to make predictions (foolish!), I would say...

  • The game will probably soldier on for a significant period of time.

  • It will probably be in a "zombie" state, not unlike that of Champions Online (as I understand it, I don't really play that game).

  • We're closer to STO's end than its beginning.

STO was in this mode for years and still goes on. The problem is MMOs generally is not the darlings anymore. I think STO will go on for while in this mode, but I do not have high hopes for STO2.
