As a reference librarian with mostly anecdotal evidence, idk about this.

I get a lot of people, especially older folk, asking for right leaning-far right info.

Also, we really don’t record metrics on political affiliation. We gather zero information on people who come in and look or read without checking out. Same thing with computers. We don’t track and we don’t even want to know.
