Some positive news about NZ universities. These are the rankings changes according to the Herald:

It seemed odd that they would all rise so much, I assumed that it was because others had done something and fallen a long way, but as it turns out it's because they changed the ranking system by adding a new criteria.

The standout performance lies in the newly introduced sustainability indicator. Impressively, the University of Auckland is listed as one of the world's top 10 institutions in this dimension, ranking ninth. The University of Otago and the University of Canterbury also perform strongly in this metric, securing the 22nd and 36th spots respectively."

Good catch. I guess it shows NZ unis are doing a good job with sustainability at least.
