Keyword being sell. He didn’t get the government to force it on conservatives. He made excellent products that people want to buy.

Of course, now he's changed his tune since Tesla is established, and wants subsidies removed. Gotta pull up that ladder behind you to prevent competition.
He "made" a truck with no bed space and will snap if you hitch something to it. The only people buying them are making political statements.
Did I miss a time when the government forced me to put solar panels on my house or an electric car in my garage.
I mean I’d sorta like solar panels and they are expensive so if the government will “force me” to put them up I’ll valiantly take that bullet.
