What is the point of this? Linux already exists.
I recommend Red Star OS
They want a fully CCP-controlled OS.
Probably to have a more closed system so they can control the 'ecosystem'. I don't think it's because of 'ccp', as pointed by op, but more likely due to good ol' capitalism, Huawei is playing the same game in the same league as Apple, google, Microsoft.

Red Star is ran by the North Korean government of course it's a joke.
Ok, I did chuckle when I read it, and I knew it's North Korean, but lemmy being lemmy I had to ask.
