Melania would jump for joy if Donnie pulled the trigger and divorced her. The pre-nup would kick in and she'd be free.

While I have no problem believing that, you are quoting an article which serves as advertisement to a book which was not out yet at the moment that article was published. That is pretty weak chain of "evidence"
I did a quick search of 'Trump and Melania separate bedrooms' and went with the number one response.
I've yet to see a report that in any way indicates they have anything like a cordial relationship.
